It is with great excitement we now have the Knob Blocker and Hot Mic guards available for the Harris XL-200 and Harris speaker mic 12082-0600-01!
Designing new radio guards takes over 80 hours of testing and prototyping. And we couldn’t have done it without collaborating with Canada Task Force 2!

We owe a big thank you to Steven Lohse, Emergency Manager Officer, Canada Task Force 2, Calgary Emergency Management Agency for reaching out to us and loaning us a spare Harris XL-200 so we could design a radio guard for his team.
Canada Task Force 2 (CAN-TF2), is a government National 'all-hazards' Disaster Response Team with diverse capabilities to respond to large-scale events, emergencies, or disasters, and support impacted communities across Canada.
Their team is comprised of over 180 Rescue Specialists, Doctors, Paramedics, Structural Engineers, Communications Specialists, Canine & Technical Searchers, Logistics Specialists, and Command Staff, who volunteer their time to train and prepare so that they can respond as a highly specialized team, capable of handling a wide variety of demanding disaster and rescue situations.
CAN-TF2's mandate is to deploy with up to 75 specialized team members and related equipment within 4 hours of incident notification. Upon arrival, the team is capable of operating 24 hours a day for up to 14 days with the equipment and supplies to be fully self-sustaining if required.
Custom Guards
Do you have a radio we currently do not have a guards designed it fit (e.g. Kenwood 5300, APX series? We can custom design a guard for you.
We are working hard on expanding our radio model selection. In order to do so, we need the radios in hand to properly design and test the guards as each model is different.
If you have a fleet of radios and can spare a radio for up to a month, we can custom design a guard for your two-way radio. Find out of you qualify for your Custom Guard and Testing Program were you can get Get 25 guards for free (Value $675 CAD / $500 USD) by lending us a spare radio from your fleet for up to a month.
