Our user guide is designed for radios used recreationally (Baofeng). A step by step guide for proper installation is outlined. An installation video is also included in the fit guide.

Knob Blocker Installation Instructions

1. Each our our guards is designed for a specific radio model

  • Identify your radio model

2. On the Baofeng UV-5R - Unscrew the belt clip

3. Slide on Knob Blocker, ensuring guard covers PTT buttons on the side of the radio

4. Reattached belt clip

5. Check Functionality

  • Confirm knobs turn and the emergency button (if applicable) works.

  • Ensure all radio functions operate normally.

6. Using with Gloves

  • Gloves may limit dexterity—set channel & volume before putting gloves on.

  • Test adjustments with gloves before use.

  • Remove gloves if necessary for precise control.

7. Inspect for Wear & Damage

  • Stop using immediately if the Knob Blocker is worn or damaged.

  • Do not modify the product.
