Celebrating the Winners of Our Give Back Program
Skookum Works is a small, family-run company based in Squamish, BC. We design and manufacture practical radio, speaker mic, and pager guards for the people who rely on their communication equipment in the field — search and rescue teams, volunteer firefighters, ski patrol, and other first responders.
The connection to the first responder community is personal for us. Our founder and product designer, Jacob, is also a first responder with his local Search and Rescue team, so we understand how often volunteers give their time, energy, and even their own money to serve their communities.
As a small company, we know we can’t support every team in the way we wish we could, but the Skookum Works Give Back Program is one way for us to give back to the people and organizations already giving so much.
Through the program, each selected organization received 20 Skookum Works guards, with a monthly prize value of up to $800 CAD. In total, the program supported 12 first responder teams and up to 240 individual responders with more than $10,000 worth of radio guards.

Thank You to Every Team That Applied
We want to extend a sincere thank you to every organization that applied to the Give Back Program. Volunteer first responders give so much to their communities, often behind the scenes and often at personal expense.
This program was one small way for our family-run business to support the teams who are already giving so much.
To all of the search and rescue teams, volunteer fire departments, ski patrol teams, and emergency responders using Skookum Works gear in the field: thank you. We’re proud to support you.
